未走之路

   Robert Frost 的 The road not taken ,是高中英文課必讀的一首詩。這幾天在網路上無意間看到,又讀了一遍。 Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.   若干年前我還穿著制服坐在台下聽老師講課,聽翻譯和文法修辭都沒問題,但其實聽不太懂老師解釋這首詩文的內涵,讀完也沒什麼感覺,因為當時的我選了和多數高中生同樣的一條路:努力讀書、考好學測、再努力讀書、再考好指考、填進名校!   結果進了大學之後就走歪了。 開玩笑啦!   現在回首

錄音室裡的雜音

  去年年尾,我開始著手錄製自己的演奏專輯。   這輩子第一次進錄音室,是國小六年級時跟著學校直笛團錄紀念專輯,當時什麼都不懂,只覺得很好玩,反正老師怎麼帶我們就怎麼吹;一直到大學後,修了相關的課,而後再度進錄音室,才體會到錄音要注意的眉眉角角非常多,耳朵像是開竅了一樣。      而這次進錄音室,我才發現我的琴有個致命的缺陷-大力撥絃時會發出雜音。 (消滅雜音示意圖)   一開始以為是雁柱的問題,因為雜音來自於幾個有嫌疑的雁柱,喬了半天,也換了整套,雜音還是在,於是論定是面板用久變形造成。   雖然錄音師說因為錄音室非常安靜,有許多人進了錄音室才發現平常沒發現的問題,我還是為我平日練琴時的耳聾狀態感到羞恥= =。(看來最適合練琴的時間是大半夜啊)   除了雜音,多聽幾次錄音,還會對先前的詮釋有意見。   對於這樣的錄音作品捫心自問,若干年後再聽,能忍受細微的雜音嗎?   能忍受自己音沒按準嗎?   能忍受自己速度不穩嗎?   所以,在錄音師強力建議以及自己的審慎考慮之下決定......   換台琴重錄吧!   人生不做會讓自己後悔的事。
